Pros: Flavorful, Indulgent, Easy Prep, Healthy, High Quality, Good Texture, juicy
Served this for company along with the Baja Corn mix. Fed 4 adults. No leftovers. they loved it. Had time to be with our guests and not living in the kitchen. Presentation on oval platter, sliced with the vegetables surrounding the roast. Hawaiian rolls and softened butter and white wine. Fabulous!!!
Pros: Flavorful, Indulgent, Easy Prep, Kid-Friendly, Healthy, High Quality, Good Texture, Versatile
If I could only buy one Market Day product, this would probably be it. Bursting with flavor, tender and juicy! Low in calories, high in nutrition, couldn't be simpler to cook. I could eat the whole thing.
I love this roast. The chicken is always very tender and the stuffing, though sweeter than the stuffing I grew up with, is delicious. I've recommended it to others who report back that it was well received in their homes.
I read the various reviews which ranged from awful to delicious and thought I'd see for myself. I almost served this when guests were visiting and am SO glad I didn't. It was just awful! The "meat" had a poor texture - not like real meat, more like processed filler, similar to those cheap chicken nuggets that are sponge like. It had a skin on the outside that added nothing to the experience and the stuffing was really mushy. Not one person in my family liked it and I pretty much eat anything. We always eat leftovers and don't like to let things go to waste but these leftovers went into the trash.
I buy a lot of Market Day food and have been very pleased with most things, but this is an exception. The chicken was okay except for a weird plasticy skin that wouldn't peel off. The texture was acceptable, but it was not very flavorful. However the stuffuing was not good - we tried a few bites and then scooped it out and threw it away. It was grayish, very doughy, and very very sweet. I won't buy this again and can't recommend it.
this roast was so good! my husband could have probably eaten the whole thing himself! it really makes a fancy meal on an ordinary night. so flavorful and yummy. had to cook it longer than the directions stated. does need a long time to cook so you may have to start almost 2 hours before dinner time. you have to let it sit for a bit afterward as per directions. the kids liked the meat but not the stuffing,.
This roast is SO good. Really. The stuffing has a touch of sweetness and perfectly complements the chicken. I served with the sweet potato mix from Market Day. I fed this to six adults and still had a third of it leftover. The leftovers warmed up beautifully in the microwave.
The best part is that the roast couldn't be easier to make - just put it in the oven and forget about it.

Not up to Market Day standards
Date:February 15, 2012
Pros: Easy Prep
Cons: Poor Texture, Poor Flavor, Excess Fat
This is the first product from Market Day that I did not think was good quality chicken. The stuffing seemed too doughy and the chicken seemed like pressed chicken. Very fatty.

Very easy, very good
Date:February 8, 2012
Pros: Flavorful, Easy Prep, Kid-Friendly, Healthy
I purchased this roast for the first time and found it very easy to cook. The chicken meat was juicy and there was just enough stuffing to add some sweet flavor. The roast is also a good size so there will be plenty of leftovers. This is not an item I can find easily in stores. Very pleased with this purchase.

Now a Holiday Staple
Date:December 5, 2011
Pros: Flavorful, Easy Prep
I don't order much from Market Day, but I always have to remember to place my order for this item every December. The one year when I forgot, there were plenty of disappointed faces around my Christmas eve dinner table. This and a beef or pork roast now make up my Christmas eve dinner. I can't forget the Sweet Corn Casserole either!
Pros: Flavorful, Easy Prep, Healthy, High Quality, Good Texture, Versatile
This was great! My hubby and I loved it, even the leftovers. It's a bit much for two people, but I won't have to cook for a day or two now. :) Flavor was great, chicken was moist and the stuffing was fantastic. The price was a little much, but it made a great holiday dinner. This would feed a small group of 4 easily maybe even 6 depending on the side dishes.
This was such a surprise at how yummy it is. I wish you would sell just the stuffing, as we enjoyed that part the most. The chicken was good too, although the skin/wrapping on outside can be a bit tough.
Also I ate some of the leftovers on a sandwich one day, reminded me of the after Thanksgiving sandwiches with stuffing and cranberries.
Will remain on my order for once a month special dinner option or surprise company
This is such an easy, delicious meal. My husband is the ultimate meat eater and master of the grill. So it is extremely difficult to impress him, especially with baked meat. He loves this roast. Says it tastes like a holiday meal. My kids aren't crazy about the stuffing, but they eat the chicken which is good enough for me. Its such a treat to have this for dinner, and SUPER easy to bake!
This is probably the only thing I've ever gotten from Market Day that I found gross. Between the processed meat taste, the casing the chicken is in & the sticky mushy stuffing I have nothing good to say about this. I cooked it according to the package, I felt like I was missing something, but I read it again & again & I prepared it correctly.

much too sweet
Date:March 2, 2011
Pros: Easy Prep
Cons: Bland, Poor Flavor, much too sweet
This was extremely disappointing. The chicken is okay, the texture of the outside of the roast was a little weird, but I could have lived with that if the stuffing tasted okay. It is soooo sweet, and does not have a very good flavor. My family of 5 barely forced down half of it, and I think we're throwing the rest away because no one wants to eat it again. I was really hoping for better. I would NOT recommend this one!
