Fully Cooked Pot Roast

Just like grandma’s but faster. So juicy, it flakes off the fork. Robust gravy.

Best Roast EVER!

Date:October 4, 2010
Pros: Flavorful, Easy Prep, Kid-Friendly, High Quality, Good Texture
My family looks forward to eating this meal. It is by far the best pot roast we have ever eaten. The roast is always perfectly tender! My kids are not big meat fans, but eat second and third helpings of this dinner. The gravy goes excellent with both noodles and mashed potatoes. The only difficult part of this meal is removing the roast and every ounce of the delicious gravy from the bag (it is very hot after cooking).

The All American Pot Roast!

Date:February 29, 2012

Everytime we purchase this pot roast and throw it in our
crock pot with some beef broth and a few dashes of Market Day Salt for All Seasons, I have a gourmet pot roast that I do not
have to provide any gourmet work for.
If your family likes beef, you must try it!

Excellent taste and quick dinner

Date:February 20, 2012
Pros: Flavorful, Easy Prep, Kid-Friendly, High Quality, Good Texture, Versatile
We tried the pot roast for the first time and it was so delicious and tender. Reminded me alot when I was a little kid and my mom's homemade pot roast. Thanks for the quick and easy meal. We ate ours with apple baked beans, baby bok choy sauteed and rice.

I have an awesome way to prepare this roast

Date:February 18, 2012
Pros: Flavorful, Indulgent, Easy Prep, Kid-Friendly, Healthy, High Quality, Good Texture, Versatile
I love to put the thawed roast and gravy in the crock pot with a halved onion and a can of onion soup or creamy onion soup(Our favorite!). I set it on low for approx 6 hours and come home from work to an amazing dinner. If using the creamy soup, mix it a bit before starting the crockpot. I serve it with thawed Market day mashed potato patties that I heat (stove or micro) and mix with milk and butter for yummy homestyle mashed potatoes! Great meal!

Who makes the best pot roast?

Date:February 9, 2012
Pros: Flavorful, Easy Prep, High Quality, Good Texture
My husband and I argue about who makes the best pot roast...now we know...Market Day! Well, maybe not better than homemade but no dirty pans and meat that tastes great and is very tender. This cooked in the microwave in about 8 minutes. I used a digital thermometer to make sure it was hot all the way through. Made homemade mashed potatoes, some green beans and applesauce....a great meal for a cold night.

Almost perfect.

Date:January 30, 2012
Pros: Flavorful, Easy Prep, High Quality, Good Texture, Versatile
Cons: watery gravy, not enough gravy
This roast is almost perfect. It was unbelievably easy to prepare, the meat was tender and pulled apart with ease, and it just plain tasted good. I would say this roast is good for 4 adults. We had very hearty pot roast manhattans, had enough left over for each of us, plus a little extra for a pot roast sandwich. I did have a couple of problems with the roast. The microwave instructions said 7-8 minutes. My roast, after thawing in the fridge for 3-4 days, barely hit room temperature in the middle after 8 minutes. I heated it a couple more minutes and it still was barely warm. My second problem was the "gravy". Maybe mine was a dud, because my final product was more like beef juice. It was as thin as water. It was still very flavorful, and helped to make the meat very moist, but was not at all the gravy I was expecting. We also only had enough for the 1st two plates. Because it was so thin, I had no problem whatsoever getting everything out of the bag. I just slit it across the top and everything poured right out.
All of that said, we will definitely be buying this occasionally, but probably not monthly, as our budget can't allow it.

Great Sunday Dinner

Date:October 25, 2011
Pros: Flavorful, Easy Prep, High Quality, Good Texture
Cons: more gravy
I cannot say enough about this product. I had my doubts when I ordered. I'm so glad I did! We had this with potatoes and carrots, it was awesome. My only complaint, we wished there would have been more gravy available. The texture was perfect and the flavor was very delicious. Even my kids asked for seconds. And very EAST cooking! We will definately purchase again.

Yummy Pot Roast !

Date:October 8, 2011
Pros: Flavorful, Easy Prep, Kid-Friendly, High Quality, Good Texture
My family loves this Pot Roast. I buy it every month. Although, I do wish it was a little bit larger. That is why I only rated it 4 Stars.
As a few people have noted, yes it is a pain to get it out of the bag while hot, so I just take it out before I cook/reheat it. Place it in a CorningWare type dish that is just a tad bigger, put a tight-fitting lid on it then throw it in the microwave. Perfection everytime ! And I don't have to worry about burning myself OR it hitting the floor <grin>. I have also done it on the stovetop. Worked there as well.

Very Tasty Pot Roast

Date:September 29, 2011
Pros: Flavorful, Easy Prep
My husband and I loved this pot roast. Easy to make, and very flavorful. This was our first time trying it, and we will be buying it again. I wish it came in separate packages, so we wouldn't have to eat it two days in a row if we didn't want to, although it was good the next day too. And I'm not a gravy person, but this was good! Yummy!

Easy peasy and tastes wonderful!

Date:September 20, 2011
Pros: Flavorful, Easy Prep, Kid-Friendly, High Quality, Good Texture
Idiot proof pot roast. This tastes darn near as good as what my mother-in-law makes (and she makes a FABULOUS pot roast!). The best thing? It takes a tiny fraction of the time to cook.
I'm all for homecooking, but let's be honest, most days we don't have the time to braise a hunk of beef, season it, and let it cook for two hours on the stovetop. Thanks to MarketDay, you don't have to!
I buy this a few times a year. It's always a hit. I serve it over egg noodles with some veggies and a salad on the side.
