Pros: Flavorful, Indulgent, Easy Prep, Kid-Friendly, Healthy, High Quality, Good Texture, Versatile
Tweaked the recipe included for minestrone soup. Added diced polish sausage, a can of spicy diced tomatoes, 1 1lb package of gnocchi, and water to the top of the stock pot. Boiled, set and Served with MD hot fresh biscuits. My family loved it.
Pros: Flavorful, Easy Prep, Kid-Friendly, Healthy, Good Texture, Versatile
Made it with the Brocolli & cheddar soup and the naked brocolli and cheese stuffed chicken breasts, it was all absolutely delicious and my family loved it!! No complaints about all the veggies from my picky 7 yr old either :)
I liked the way this side dish sounded... the kids love pasta and limited vegetables. But when we cooked it, the spinach was overwhelming. Too much green, unfortunately, for the kids to enjoy. Will try putting into a soup so the the flavors can blend. I think that's the best choice for us!
I'm new to ordering from Market Day and this was the first of two items that I've tried, so far. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Just putting it in a dish to microwave smelled wonderful. My microwave was more powerful so I should have cut the time, but it was still very good. I've already placed an order for 3 more bags for next month. Can't wait to try it as a cold greek salad, as the box suggested.
This dish looked and sounded great - until I actually ate it. I tried a little and the flavor was pretty good - but couldn't get past the excessive mushy spinach. Thought I would reheat and try again the next day - still had the good flavor but ended up tossing the rest due to the spinach/texture issue.

I use this as a Salad Base
Date:May 8, 2012
Pros: Healthy, Good Texture, Versatile, great salad base
Cons: cooking instructions are not accurate for best use
I've never tried this product on it's own. I modified the Greek Salad receipe found in the Market Day Cook Book and have gotten raves.
I use Trader Joe's Brand Goddess salad dressing and a red onion.
Pros: Flavorful, Indulgent, Easy Prep, Healthy, High Quality, Good Texture, Versatile
I really like this product. This is a great dish for those on the go and in a hurry or for a nice meal on a Sunday. I cook this with the Seasoned Salmon, Lemon Peppered Salmon. Layer the Orzo Blend at the bottom of the dish, add your meat on top, cover and bake. For the last 3-5 minutes bake uncovered and wow -- a great meal and my husband really loves it.
I prepared this as instructed but it came out hardened and dry out of the microwave. Would probably be great in a soup or with some other liquid. I tried preparing it again with added water and it helped, but still "needs" something.

Disappointing
Date:April 28, 2012
Pros: Easy Prep, Healthy
Cons: Bland, Poor Flavor
Health alternative to everyday vegie but very bland and not too tasty. Would not recommend.
Just tried this tonight, and I'm sorry to say I was pretty disappointed. I found it extremely bland, and could only eat it after adding lots of seasoning after cooking. I think it's a great idea, but it's not something I would ever purchase as prepared...the rest of the family wouldn't eat it at all, so this one just didn't work for us.

Good & easy side dish
Date:April 26, 2012
Pros: Flavorful, Easy Prep, Healthy, Versatile
We really liked this sample and I am ordering the large size now. I simmered it in some chicken broth for about 15 minutes because the sample did not list stove-top directions - it turned out just fine!
I tried this through the free package last month. I liked it pretty much, but thought it could use some more flavor. The texture though was great and it's a fantastic way to get some grains and veggies into your diet. I love garbanzo beans but didn't think they fit well in this mix, but others may disagree. I'm not sure yet if I'd buy it again, but I did think it was pretty good. 2 points per serving if you are doing Weight Watchers, so this is a good side dish option for sure!
Pros: Flavorful, Easy Prep, Kid-Friendly, Healthy, High Quality
I bought this as a change for our typical "side veggie" and we loved it! Very flavorful and so easy to make - just microwave for 10 minutes, stirring at the 5 minute mark. We had it alongside Market Day's Grilled Salmon and it was the perfect easy-to-make, healthy meal!

YUMMY
Date:April 19, 2012
Pros: Flavorful, Indulgent, Easy Prep, Kid-Friendly, Healthy, High Quality, Good Texture, Versatile
Great as a side dish or as a lunch. Someone wrote this was spicey, I think they have the wrong product, this is not spicey at all
We have been trying to get more vegetables, beans, and whole grains into our diet, without much success -- my mac and cheese loving kids aren't crazy about a lot of healthier side dishes. When I took my first bite of this orzo blend, I thought it was a little bland, but I think that's because my taste buds are used to overly salty prepared sides. As I adjusted to the lower salt content, I found myself going back for seconds. The seasoning is subtle and quite tasty. This is an easy, yummy way to get veggies and whole grains into the family. Plus, I love the combination of textures, between the chickpeas, spinach, and orzo. Light and delicious!

Way too spicey
Date:April 12, 2012
Cons: too spicey
I took one bite of this and that was all I could take. It was so spicey that it not only burned the inside of my mouth, but it burned all the way down. I suggest that you take this off the market. It was a complete waste of money. I will think twice before I try new things again!
Pros: Flavorful, Easy Prep, Healthy, High Quality, Good Texture, Versatile
This is a great side to anything. It is flavorful, healthy and the prep time is nothing. I would recommend this to anyone. I even love it by itself!! Put it with the chophouse burgers and you have a great lunch! I hope they don't discontinue this one!
